Our Big Idea

Tradition Magazine is a new Catholic venture that brings together the new and the old of Catholic tradition. Our big idea is to find new ways to present the beauty and wonder—and sometimes the strangeness—of Catholic faith and practice. To do this, our issues gather together many voices around a single theme. We present living Catholic authors alongside voices from across Catholic history both in written form and via audio podcasts. Despite our name, we’re not all ‘trads’, we’re just Catholics who love our Catholic tradition and want to help other people get to love it too.

We publish quarterly on our website, on Substack, and by podcast. Each issue has a theme which unites all the material within it. We have covered the themes of marriage, death, and pilgrimage, with many more to come!
